In November 2023 the FIG Flight Operations team prepared a map of potential landing areas. These sites are shown in the two links below. In this map,
- We have indicated good landing sites with good crew access.
- The green markers
indicate the access point for crews. - There are no “red areas” in León to worry about. Expect to be greeted with open arms anywhere you land.
- If you are flying to the South, the city is very densely populated, but only 10km from the launch site it becomes wide open again.
- Opening the link to Google Maps in a browser first (before the Google Maps app) will likely add it to your MyMaps section for future reference.
